Gary Tranter Technical Director "I have been a Director with Oasis since 2002 based in the Birmingham Office. I have been in the Building Services Industry since 1982 and have worked for companies based both in the UK and abroad, as both a Consultant and Contractor. In 2002 I decided to settle down in Birmingham and spend more time with the family. I was approached by Oasis, who were looking at the formation of a Birmingham Office, and I was immediately impressed with the forward thinking and potential of the Oasis group. I have been involved with numerous and varied schemes with Oasis, responsible for the design of all services and project quality control prior to handover. I check that all of our services are installed as designed as if I was the Clients Consultant, and hence hopefully rectify any defects before they become an issue. My wife, who hails from Yorkshire, wanted to return home in 2008 and Oasis were talking about a possible North East Office, so I have taken the opportunity to set up Oasis Leeds. The majority of my free time is spent with the family. I have two daughters and the whole family likes walking and cycling. I am still an avid Birmingham City football fan (unfortunately my playing days are well and truly over), and try to play golf and learn the electric guitar with any time that I have left over (which is sadly not enough for either of these hobbies!). I would love to see Oasis Leeds become as successful as the rest of the Oasis organisation and with a lot of endeavour and a little bit of good fortune I am sure it will". |
